FAQ
What are fishing locks?
A: Fishing locks are similar to your typical rod holders but with a built in lockable feature. Our fishing locks allow for a spinning reel and fishing rod to be securely locked when used together with a padlock and security cable. We sell everything you need to get you started.
What types of fishing poles work with the fishing locks?
A: Most spinning reels and rods work with our fishing locks. But there is no guarantee our locks will be compatible with each and every spinning reel/rod combination, due to different sizes and features of each rod and reel.
What is the difference between the original fishing lock and our other rod holders?
A: The original fishing lock is our basic, original lock. It’s where it all began. It is only 6 inches in length so it is intended to be a lock, not a rod holder. You can easily slide it onto a spinning reel/rod combination, or rest it directly on top of an existing rod holder. All our other mounts and rod holders are 10 inches in length and are intended to be used as rod holders, with a locking feature.
How do I use the fishing locks?
A: It’s very simple. You slide your spinning reel and rod into any of your desired fishing locks. You then insert the shaft of one of our padlocks into the precut holes in the fishing lock. A security cable is then used to attach the padlock, rod and reel to a fixed object in order to prevent theft.
What are the fishing locks/rod holders made of?
A: They are made of marine grade aluminum then powder coated for additional corrosion resistance.
When will the products be in stock?
A: We are working hard to build stock and inventory. As you can imagine, starting a business during Covid has had its challenges. We are working daily to ensure production and shipping arrive in a timely manner. We expect to have our orders arrive in the Spring/Summer. We will then start deliveries immediately following.
What does it mean to preorder?
A: The bulk of our orders are expected to arrive around Spring/Summer. By preordering, you are basically first on the list to receive these items. As we receive the shipments, we will begin processing the orders in the order we received. After we process and fulfill all the preorders, we then will begin to change items from a "preorder" status to an in stock and "buy now" status. At that point, the items would then ship immediately following a purchase.
Where are you based out of?
A: We are based out of Florida, near the Space Coast, but we will ship nationwide.
